8oz / 225g Granulated sugar

8 oz / 250ml Strong coffee

8 tablespoons Irish whiskey
Directions
Distributing the syrup evenly to the layers….
Spoon it on slowly and spread it around, as in the image https://ed-italia.com/. This will need to be done at least two or three times to soak each layer through adequately.
Wait five minutes at least between each application to give the syrup a chance to soak in.

Boil the syrupDissolve the sugar in the coffee and bring to a boil for one minute. (Use a large pan for this, as it will bubble up aggressively.) |

Allow to coolRemove from heat and allow to cool COMPLETELY. When cool, add the whiskey and stir in gently. |

Spoon the coffee-and-whiskey syrup over the cake layers in turn. Allow 5-10 minutes each time for the syrup to soak in. Continue until the syrup is used up. |
